My Secret Burger Sauce is my attempt a recreating the Big Mac Sauce made famous by McDonald's. This is one great sauce for your burger!

    secret burger sauce

I was tired of always having the same condiments on my beef burgers so I decided to create my own. To be honest, I was trying to replicate McDonald's Big Mac® Sauce. That's why I am calling this "Rodney's Secret Burger Sauce".

    Secret Burger Sauce Ingredients

This recipe is so simple to make and chances are you already have all the ingredients at home. You can always substitute the cornichons for any pickle as long as they are dill and not sweet.

My parents used to take me to McDonald's as a kid all the time. I first started off eating a plain burger without pickles, french fries and a strawberry shake. But when I started getting older, I graduated to the Big Mac®.

I vividly recall that it was the secret sauce that I liked. And now I have done my best to try and recreate the flavor so I can enjoy a "Big Mac" at home. Since publishing this sauce recipe, I have also published my Copycat McDonald's Big Mac Sauce. Equally good if not better!

    💭 Ingredient Substitution

The only ingredient needed for this recipe that you may not have on hand is the Spicy Brown Mustard. In a pinch, you can use some Dijon Mustard or some Stone Ground Mustard.

While you are at it, you may want to add an order of beer batter onion rings to your order! You can find my Grandad’s Beer Batter Onion Rings‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ recipe to be an excellent choice! My Copycat A&W Onion Rings aren't bad either!

While not mandatory, I highly recommend letting the sauce sit for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator. This will allow all the flavors to meld. You can use it immediately, but the longer you let it sit in the refrigerator, the more flavorful it will be.

Another option would be to make my Delicious Burger Sauce. Super easy to make and tastes delicious!

I love trying new recipes. As a retired person I am more into cooking. I decided to try this sauce. It was as expected, delicious as I imagined it would be.
