Guacamole is a staple here in Southern California. There aren't very many restaurants that don't serve guacamole in one way shape or form. And it's not limited to only Mexican restaurants.

Not only is guacamole popular with Mexican food, but you can also often find it served with breakfast, on hamburgers and even on nachos! Just like Richelle's Fantastic Chicken Nachos.

Making guacamole isn't very hard. It always includes mashed avocados and is often mixed with salsa or chopped tomatoes and onions with a little salt and pepper.

Fancier guacamoles may have mango, jalapeños, bacon or even blue cheese added to them. The possibilities are endless as long as the other ingredients play nice with the Avocados.

🥑 How to Pick the Perfect Avocado

Choosing the wrong avocado will ruin your dish. Especially when the avocado is the main ingredient like in Guacamole. Basically, you want a perfectly ripe Avocado. This is a great article on how to select the perfect avocado.

    💭 What is Sriracha Sauce

Sriracha Hot Sauce originated in Thailand. It's typically made with chili peppers, vinegar, garlic, sugar and salt. In the United States, Sriracha sauce is manufactured by Huy Fong Foods. It's sometimes called Rooster Sauce because of the rooster logo on the bottle.

Besides the mango and the Sriracha sauce, this is pretty much a classic Guacamole. The beauty of this recipe is you can control the heat by adjusting the amount of Sriracha you add. Start with 1 teaspoon and go from there!
