The easiest way to enjoy a Chicken Taco Bowl. Not only super easy to make you can customize it to your liking! Tons of topping options
We love eating Taco Bowls in this house. And this Chicken Taco Bowl recipe is about as easy as it gets when it comes to making a meal.
The most difficult part of making this chicken taco bowl is making the bowl itself which is made with Flour Tortilla. You can buy pre-made taco bowl shells from the grocery store but they can be difficult to find in some locations.
When it comes to making the taco bowls, you have a couple of options. You can use a taco bowl maker like the one pictured below or you can use any kind of oven-safe bowl. While I haven’t personally tried it, you could also crisp up the tortilla in an air fryer if you have one.
Regardless of which method you choose, I like to coat a flour tortilla with a little melted butter on each side (you can also use some cooking spray). Place the tortilla in the bowl maker or press it into the inside of the oven-safe bowl. Bake for 7-10 minutes @ 375°F till brown and crispy.
You also have a couple of options when it comes to the chicken. You can cook your own using your preferred method or you can take the lazy way out and use some rotisserie chicken as I did for this recipe. Just make sure you add some of the taco seasoning on the chicken.
Recipe Variation
The beauty of this recipe is that you can modify it easily to your liking. You can substitute the chicken for some ground beef or ground turkey. You can use whatever kind of rice you want. Personally I like to use my Cilantro Lime Rice for this recipe.
If you don’t have any Taco Seasoning on hand you can always make your own. I published a recipe for Homemade Taco Seasoning for your convenience.
One of my other favorite salad recipes is my Ranch BBQ Chopped Salad. Easy and Delicious!

Made these last night for supper, plus first time making the taco bowls. They were fun to make and they were delicious. The only thing I left out on mine was the sour cream as I am not a fan, but the rest of my family loved them including the sour cream. This recipe is a keeper for sure.
