I am not much into politics. Especially these days. So I was a little hesitant to post this recipe because of the connection to politics. That being said, I love a good recipe. I especially love a good Cookie recipe. Shortly after Barbara’s death, the folks from the Houstonian Hotel shared her recipe. Here I am paying it forward. The kind folks from the Houstonian Hotel had this to say about these cookies: “They’re great because they have a distinct taste, with the oats and specialty chocolate chips,” she noted. “But they’re not a soft, fluffy, cookie.” Up until now, I thought I had one of the best The Best Chocolate Chip Oatmeal cookie recipe, but according to my lovely wife, these come a close second, if not better than mine. That’s ok with me. It’s nice to have different options. At the end of the day, we all benefit from having great cookies to eat!
