My good friend Jan's husband shared his favorite Blue Cheese Salad Dressing recipe that he's been making for decades. I love Blue Cheese and LOVED this dressing on my salad.
When making green salads I like to experiment with different kinds of dressings. The first time I was offered to try this blue cheese salad dressing I knew right away I needed to get his recipe.
Up until this recipe, my favorite homemade salad dressing recipe was my Superb Jalapeño Salad Dressing. Salad Dressing with a kick!
💭 Recipe Variation
For extra Blue Cheese flavor, melt another 2-4 oz of blue cheese and add to the mayonnaise and sour cream mixture in step #2.
💭 Ingredient Substitution
You can use fresh tarragon instead of the ground tarragon. Like I always say, use what you got on hand!
💭 Recipe Tip
I strongly suggest you do a taste test before you add the salt to the mixture. Blue Cheese can be salty so you may not need to add more salt.
💭 Serving Suggestions
In addition to using it on your salad, this dressing also makes a perfect dip for spicy chicken wings, raw vegetables, or in Sandwiches & Wraps.
